People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office has released a statement about the ongoing attacks and violations of the Turkish army and gangs operating under their command against Rojava Kurdistan for the last 7 days.

The statement discloses details on the attacks that concentrated on the Efrîn Canton’s Shera, Shêrawa and Cindirês districts, which have been responded by YPG forces, however the casualties of the gangs reportedly could not be verified clearly besides one.

The balance sheet released by the YPG reads as follows:

"Between 22.00 and 23.00 on 08.09.2017, the Turkish army and affiliated gangs shelled the region of Minix with howitzers, and the villages of Maranez, Vîla Qadî in Shera district, as well as the region of Bircikê Silêman in Efin Canton's Shêrawa district with DShK weapons.

Our forces retaliated the attacks of the gangs immediately. The battle was fought with heavy weaponry, and clear details could not be obtained on the killed and injured gang members.

On 09.09.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army shelled Basûfan village in Shêrawa district with mortars, and the vilages of Belûniye, Ayn Daqna, Maranez and Minnix in Efrin Canton's Shera district with DShK weapons. Our forces retaliated the attacks of the gangs in kind. Clear details could not be obtained on the casualties of the gangs.

At 19.00 on 10.09.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army attacked the hills Baz, Barîn and Baxtiyar in Cindirês district with mortars and DShK fire, and the villages of Basûfane and Bircikê Silêman in Shêrawa district, as well as Ayn Daqna, Minnix and Maranêz in Shera district with DShK weapons. Our forces responded to the gangs on the Basûfane front with tank fire, but clear details could not be obtained on killed and injured gang members.

At 21.00 on 11.09.2017, the Turkish army and allied gangs attacked the villages of Belûniye, Ayn Daqna and Minnix in Shera district with howitzers, and Maranêz village with DShK weapons. Our forces retaliated the attacks of the gangs on the Cindirês front, and one gang member was killed here. In the same night, surveillance aircraft belonging to the Turkish army scouted over the territory of Shera.

On 12.09.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army attacked Maranêz village in Shera district with mortars and DShK fireThe same day, the gangs attempted to dig up new trenches on the front of Bashemrê village in Shêrawa district with diggers. Our forces responded the gangs immediately, and fired mortars on their positions at Semanê Fortress in Shêrawa district, but the results are unknown. After our forces fired at the digger of the gangs, the machine was stopped.

On 13.09.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army shelled the villages of Basûfane and Bashemrê in Shêrawa district with howitzers and DShK weapons, as well as hill Barîn in Cindirês district with BKC fire. Our forces retaliated the attacks of the gangs in kind. However, details on killed or injured gang members could not be clarified.

Between 13.00 and 14.00 on 14.09.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army attacked hill Barîn in Cindirês district as well as Maranêz village in Shera district with DShK weapons, and Basûfane village in Cindirês district with mortars."
