People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office has released a written statement detailing the ongoing attacks and violations by the Turkish army and allied gangs on Rojava for the last 7 days.

Referring to the attacks on Efrîn Canton, the statement said, "After the occupying Turkish army failed in its attempts to invade Efrîn, they tried this time to push their invasion plans through in Kobanê, but our forces frustrated the efforts of the Turkish army."

The balance sheet announced by the YPG Press Office concerning attacks of the Turkish army and affiliated gangs on Rojava, is as follows:

"Attacks and violations by the occupying Turkish army and gangs operating under their command against Rojava lands continue. After the occupying Turkish army failed in their invasion plans on Efrîn, they attempted this time to invade the lands of Kobanê but were frustrated by the response of our forces also in these efforts.

The attacks and violations of the Turkish army and affiliated gangs in the last 7 days are as follows:

At 10.30 on 04.08.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army shelled the villages of Başemrê, Bircikê Silêman and Basûfanê of Efrîn's Shêrawa district with mortars.

On the Hill Barîn front, after our forces noticed that gang members attempted to set up new emplacements there, they responded the gangs with BKC machine guns, whereupon the gangs were forced to flee.

On the same day, Turkish soldiers and affiliated gangs attacked the villages Maranez and Berada Malikiyê of Efrîn's Shera district with mortars, artillery and heavy weapons. Unmanned aerial vehicles and warplanes of the Turkish army also flew over west of Kobanê.

At 09.00 on 05.08.2017, a tank belonging to the Turkish army conducting attacks from the direction of the Azaz Hospital, was targeted by our forces and destroyed completely, but clear information could not be obtained regarding killed or injured gang members.

Following the response of our forces, at 11.00, Turkish soldiers and affiliated gangs attacked the villages of Maranez, Beradê Malikiyê, Eleqînê and Ayn Daqna with howitzers and heavy weaponry. On the same day, when our forces noticed on the Hill Barîn front in Efrîn's Cindirêsê district, that the gangs intended to build new positions, and responded to them with BKC weapons, whereupon the gangs had to retreat.

After that, the gangs continued to attack hill Barîn with DShK weapons.

While Turkish army and affiliated gangs shelled hill Qestelê and the villages of Baflonê, Vîla Qadî and Eleqînê at the front of Efrîn’s Shera district with howitzers, Turkish soldiers on the other side attacked Siftek village of Kobanê with heavy weaponry. Our forces retaliated the attacks of the Turkish soldiers.

At between 00.00 and 04.00 on 06.08.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army shelled the villages of Malikiyê and Maranezê with mortars, howitzers and DShK weapons. On the same day, Turkish soldiers and affiliated gangs attacked Belûniyê village in Efrîn's Shera district with howitzers.

Turkish soldiers and affiliated gangs also shelled the villages of Ayn Daqna, Belûniyê, Maranez, and the Qestelê, Martyr Şîlan and Îska hills with mortars, tank fire, DShK weapons and BKC machine guns.

On the other hand, Turkish soldiers violated and crossed the border near the village of Bobanê on the western front line of Kobanê, but were forced to retreat after our forces fired some warning shots.

Turkish soldiers therewith attacked the Mizirdawît village on Kobanê border line with semi-automatic weapons.

On 07.08.2017, gangs affiliated to the Turkish army attacked hill Baz and hill Barîn in Efrîn's Cindirêsê district with DShK weapons. On the same day, our forces noticed and hit gang members, that tried to lay ground for a road construction near the bridge of Jarablus, whereupon the gangs were forced to retreat.

On 08.08.2017, Turkish soldiers and affiliated gangs attacked the villages of Belûniyê, Maranez, Eleqîn, Baflonê and Beradê Malikiyê in Efrîn's Shera district with mortar, howitzer and tank fire.

Gangs operating under the command of the Turkish army attacked hill Şîlan in Efrîn's Cindirêsê district with DShK fire.

On 09.08.2017, surveillance aircraft of the Turkish army flew over Eleqînê and Baflonê villages, while the gangs shelled these areas with mortars. On the same day, gang members attacked the villages of Maranez and Ayn Daqna with howitzers.

On 10.08.2017, clashes broke out after our forces noticed an attempted attack by the gangs affiliated to the Turkish army on hill Baz in Efrîn's Cindirêsê district, and one gang member was killed.

The gangs continued to attack Maranez village in Efrîn's Shera district with DShK and BKC fire."
