Leyla Güven’s dress not permitted into prison because of its colors
Arbitrary practices against political prisoners in Turkey continue unabated in blatant violation of human rights.
Elazığ Women's Closed Prison administration did not permit the handover of a dress to DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Co-chair Leyla Güven.
Güven’s daughter Sabiha Temizkan announced the ban on her mother’s dress in her social media account.
Sabiha Temizkan shared the photo of the dress in question and said, “This dress of my mother, Leyla Güven was not allowed into prison. Hang on to your hat, I explain why: COLORS. Yes, a separatist dress was neutralized before she could enter the prison.”
