Kurdish politician Feleknas Uca sent a message to the women who launched a march from Amed to Ankara on October 1 under the slogan “We walk to freedom with hope.”
Greeting the march, Feleknas Uca said: "Let us, as women, unite with the idea of free women to continue the process that began under the leadership of Leader Öcalan, a process marked by special, historic days of peace and democracy, and strive for Leader Öcalan’s freedom. Let us further expand the struggle for a free life together. We need to approach this issue not only with hope but more with freedom. As nations are taking the lead for Leader Öcalan’s freedom, his freedom must be secured for this process to advance and succeed for us. Once again, we salute your struggle, your resistance. We are hopeful. Hope comes through freedom, freedom comes through struggle."
