The Democratic Union Party (PYD) Shehba Women's Assembly made a statement on the torture and severe punishments against women in occupied Afrin. Some gangs affiliated to the Turkish state sentenced many women in occupied Afrin to "death" in an unjust and unlawful manner.
Making a statement in Shehba on Saturday, women protested the practices of the Turkish state and its gangs against women. Councilors, representatives of political parties and many people from Shehba and Afrin participated in the demonstration held in Kampa Berxwedanê (Resistance Camp).
Speaking here, PYD Women's Assembly Member Yıldız Mûsa said, "We condemn the crimes committed by the Turkish state and its gangs against women in Afrin. The aim of these crimes is to break the will of women."
Gulê Mihemed, a member of the women’s movement Kongra Star, said that the Turkish state and its gangs continue their crimes against the people of Afrin.
An Arab woman named Lemya Ebas said: "We reject the massacre of women in occupied Afrin. We demand the immediate release of the imprisoned women who are held in prisons under the control of the Turkish state. There is no difference between Turkey and Iran in terms of crimes against women and death sentences."
