9th Kurdish Film Days in Vienna continue

Vienna Kurdish Film Days 'Sercavan' kicked off with “The Swallow” film by Mano Khalil on November 24.

The biennial Kurdish Film Days 'Sercavan' kicked off in the Austrian capital Vienna on November 24 evening.

Organized by Austrian Kurdish Council FEYKOM, the event started in Stadtkino with the screening of “The Swallow” film by Mano Khalil and a panel participated by the director.

Films, short films and documentary films will be screened in two cinema halls during the festival on November 24-27.

The event is participated by many politicians and representatives of various institutions, also drawing great interest from the Austrian community and press.

"Sara: My Whole Life Was A Struggle” documentary on the life of Sakine Cansız, a leading figure in the Kurdish struggle who was murdered in Paris on January 9, 2013, and another film "Duster" were screened on November 25.

The Vienna Film Days will continue with the screening of “He bû tune bû” [Once upon a time] and “Bîranînen li ser kevîrî” [Memories on Stone] today with the participation of director Kazım Öz.
