Twenty-six years ago, on 3 June 1994, three Kurdish businessmen Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım and Hacı Karay were abducted after leaving a hotel in Istanbul.

A day later, their bodies were found 270 kilometers away in Bolu by villagers. The three men had been tortured and shot. The then chief of police and later interior minister Mehmet Ağar was held responsible for her death. As it later turned out, the names of the three men were on a death list of Kurdish businessmen.
