Kurdish film director Yılmaz Güney will be commemorated in Istanbul on the 86th anniversary of his birth. A special event will be organized on 2 April by Güney magazine.

Tuncay Özkaradeniz, Editor-in-Chief of Güney Magazine, the director’s wife, Fatoş Güney, writer Temel Demirer and Pakrat Estukyan from Agos newspaper will speak at the event.

Artists Devrim Kavalli and Barış will perform.

A documentary about Yılmaz Güney will be screened at the event.

The event will be presented by Burcu Özkaradeniz from Güney magazine and Halil Yeni, a journalist and writer.
