Online seminars on Kurdish language and literature

The universities of Rojava, Duhok, Inalco and Sorbonne have launched a joint study programme on Kurdish language and culture on the Internet.

A group of academics has started a study programme on Kurdish language and culture on the internet because of the corona-related closure of educational institutions. The programme is a joint offer of the universities of Rojava, Duhok, Inalco and Sorbonne and consists of online seminars on Kurdish literature, the different Kurdish dialects, Kurdish culture and folklore, grammar, sociology, psychology, anthropology and other topics.

The courses are taught by Kurdish academics and researchers who are interested in the Kurdish language, including Dawid Yeşilmen (Essen), Michael Chyet (Washington), Xecê Petekkaya (Qamishlo), Îbrahîm Seydo Aydogan (Paris), Abdilwehab Xalid Mûsa (Duhok), Michiel Leezenberg (Amsterdam), Jan Îlhan Kizilhan (Stuttgart), Jaffer Sheykholislami (Toronto), Janroj Yilmaz Keleş (London), Xalid Hisên, Serdar Ay, Adnan Çelik (Paris), Joanna Bochenska (Krakow) and Luqman Guldivê.
