A fundraiser was organized by the Berlin Spore Initiative to support the construction of housing in Derik for those forcibly displaced from Afrin and Shehba occupied by the Turkish state. The money collected will help to provide humanitarian aid to displaced people, especially during the harsh winter months.

A campaign organized within the scope of the Kreuzberg-Dêrik municipalities twinning called for increasing solidarity by contributing to the shelter and basic needs of displaced refugees.

A panel on Kurdish art was held as part of the same event with the participation of Kurdish artists Lokman Ahmed and Zainara Ahmed. In addition, there was also a musical recital accompanied by Koma Reng's saz.

Poet Nezir Melle added a literary dimension to the event by reading Kurdish and German poems, while international artist Lokman Ahmed did a painting during the event.

A charity auction was then held where this painting and other works of art were sold to support the refugees.
