Street musicians, who were prevented from singing after the bombing on Istiklal Street in Taksim, in Istanbul, on 13 November 2022, gathered in front of the French Consulate.
Police attacked the street musicians singing in Kurdish who wanted to protest the ban on Istiklal Street and forced them out of the area.
A woman passing in front of the consulate reacted by asking whether it was forbidden to sing or make art.
“They are attacking us because we are Kurds and because we sing our songs in Kurdish,” the musicians said.
