Pervin Buldan: We will weave this historic process together

Pervin Buldan, a member of the İmralı Delegation, stated that the PKK congress will bring many benefits to Turkey, saying, “With peace, the paths to democratization will now be paved.”

Pervin Buldan, a member of the Imrali Delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), came to Adıyaman to offer her condolences for the death of Sırrı Süreyya Önder on May 3 and commented on the PKK's congress statement to the Mezopotamya Agency.

Emphasizing the historic significance of the PKK Congress, Pervin Buldan said, “The congress, which has been long awaited, was necessary, and which we highlighted in all our meetings with Mr. Öcalan, has finally taken place.”

‘Peace will benefit everyone’

Pervin Buldan said, “The historic announcement will have many benefits for Turkey,” adding, “We wholeheartedly believe this. This announcement was actually the beginning of a peace process. The decision to be announced in the coming days will certainly reinforce this, because more detailed statements have not yet been made.”

Remarking that peace will benefit everyone, Pervin Buldan said, “I congratulate all the peoples living in Turkey. Because we know that peace will benefit everyone. With peace, the paths to democratization will be paved. And this call was expected for democratization.”

‘We will work together to build this historic process’

Buldan noted that Sırrı Süreyya Önder had been eagerly awaiting this day, adding: “I would like to commemorate our beloved Önder. He made great efforts and sacrifices. Perhaps he did not live to see this historic announcement, but I am sure that he will rest in peace knowing that it has been made. I sincerely believe this. In the coming days, we will work together to build this historic process with more comprehensive statements.”
