Kurdish political prisoners Warisha Muradi and Pakhsan Azizi are held in Evin Prison in Tehran. The two women activists have been sentenced to death, and are constantly denied rights such as medical treatment and visits from their lawyers and families by the Iranian authorities.

According to reports, both prisoners have finally been allowed to meet with their families on 22 December. The meeting lasted one hour.
