DFG and Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform make press conference for jailed colleagues

Dicle Fırat Journalists Association and Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform will make a statement in Bağlar today in solidarity with 20 journalists who have been detained in Amed 5 days ago.

Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform will make a statement at 1 pm in front of Ari Yapım, who has been held under police blockade in solidarity with 21 people, 20 of whom are journalists, who have been in custody since 8 June.

Journalists calling for participation in the statement to be held in front of the office in Bağlar today said: “We will make a statement in front of Ari Yapım at 1 pm to protest the oppression of the free press, led by the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association and the Mesopotamia Women Journalists Platform. We invite you to join our statement in solidarity with us and to protect the freedom of press and expression.”
