About 30 people were detained in the political police operations carried out by the Diyarbakır Police in Hakkari, Van, Adana, Amed and its districts on Saturday morning. It was learned that journalist Mahir Fırat Fidan was among those taken into custody.

It was reported that the search of Fidan's house lasted for 3 hours and the journalist was taken into custody at around 5am. Police went through every single book in the house, and confiscated 4 of them.

According to the information received from Fidan's family, it was reported that dozens of police entered the house and the street where their house is located was completely cordoned off.

It has been learned that the statements of the detainees have not been taken yet and that there is no confidential decision in the file.
