A Kurdish journalist who wrote “civilians are being killed in Afrin” in social media was arrested and sent to prison.
Journalist Idris Yilmaz was detained in Van on Saturday for his social media posts on Saturday. He was taken to the court earlier today.
Van Criminal Court decided for Yilmaz’s arrest for his social media posts that said: “civilians are being killed in Afrin”.
The court said Yilmaz was making “propaganda for a terrorist organization” and decided for his arrest.
Yilmaz was sent to prison after a brief court session.
