Journalist Nurcan Yalçın was taken into custody after a raid on her house in Kayapınar district, Amed. The reason for the detention was not disclosed.

Yalçın was taken to the Provincial Security Directorate TEM Branch and her right to access to a lawyer was denied for 24 hours.
