Journalist Sinan Aygül was taken into custody on the grounds of his news about harassment.
Sinan Aygül, President of the Bedlis Journalists' Association, was taken into custody on Tuesday for his news about the abuse of a child.
Aygül shared the following from his social media account: “I was taken into custody on the allegation of inciting people to hatred and enmity because of the news I wrote 3 hours ago about the abuse suffered by a child. The house is currently being searched by the police. I will be detained and taken to the police station. I'm a journalist #journalismsucdegildir" (journalism is not a crime).
