Serhat Durmuş, a worker for Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, was taken into custody in the police operation carried out in Siirt (Sêrt) on 11 December, and was sent to prison.
Yeni Yaşam Newspaper employee Serhat Durmuş, Mehmet Nezir Kaplan and Yusuf Özbay, whose statements were completed by the Siirt Provincial Police Department, were referred to the prosecutor's office on Friday.
Kaplan and Özbay were then referred to the Criminal Court of Peace and released on probation, while Durmuş was remanded in custody on charges of "aiding an illegal organization."
