Timtik has been on death fast for 160 days demanding a fair trial. Her colleague, lawyer Aytaç Ünsal has been on death fast for 129 days.

People's Law Firm (HHB) lawyers Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal have been sentenced to a total of 159 years based on the statements of informer Berk Ecan.

Timtik’s aunts Sultan Kaya, Yıldız Deniz and uncle Yıldırım Deniz held an action in Kadıköy, Istanbul, to give voice to their niece Ebru, whose health condition is fastly deteriorating. They carried a poster saying “We want justice for our children on death fast” and issued a call on people to be sensitive to the demands of the lawyers.

Addressing the people from the square, Timtik's aunt, Sultan Kaya, reminded that “justice will be necessary for everyone one day. Our children want justice, but the Minister of Justice and the President, don’t listen to their demand. Our children are dying. Please listen to their voice.”
