According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Kurdish teacher Zara Mihemed has been sentenced to ten years in prison by an Iranian "Revolutionary Court" in Sinê (Sanandaj) for "activities against national security".
The 29-year-old Kurdish teacher is also known as a peace activist and is a member of the executive committee of the Nûjin Women's Council. She was arrested and detained in a raid on 23 May 2019.
