Prisoners in Van join the hunger strike
It has been learned that 7 prisoners in Van have been hunger strike for 4 days.
PKK and PAJK prisoners in Turkey started an indefinite and alternating hunger strike across the country on November 27 in protest at the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and increasing rights violations in prisons. The prisoners take turns on hunger strikes in groups for 5 days and the action was taken over by second groups on December 2nd.
It is reported that the hunger strike is also participated by 3 prisoners in F Type Closed Prison, 3 in High Security Closed Prison and 1 female prisoner in T Type Closed Prison in Van.
