1 soldier killed, 2 soldiers and 2 police wounded in Van
Reports of casualties are coming through as a result of a blast hitting an armored vehicle in central Van province.
A blast has occurred as an armored vehicle passed by Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. According to initial reports, 1 soldier died, 2 other soldiers and 1 special operations police was wounded in the blast.
One more special operations police was injured during a clash that followed the blast.
Military vehicles dispatched to the neighborhood are opening random fire around as an air-supported operation continues.
