PYD Hewlêr Representative Mistefa Osman Xelîl, Autonomous Administration Representative Jihad Hesen and PYD member Mistefa Ezîz Mistê were detained by KDP forces. There has been no news about them for 17 days.

KDP forces detained Democratic Union Party (PYD) Hewlêr Representative Mistefa Osman Xelîl, Autonomous Administration representative Cîhad Hesen and PYD member Mistefa Ezîz Mistê, who went to Hewlêr Airport to greet guests on 10 June.

Even though it has been 17 days since Xelîl, Hesen and Mistê were taken into custody, there are no news about where they are being detained. No information has been given to the PYD and the Autonomous Administration regarding the issue.

The PYD Administration made the following statement on the day that the three PYD and Autonomous Administration representatives were detained; “The detentions were made at a time when dialogues between Kurds would occur. This hindered the dialogue efforts and the KDP is responsible for this. At the same time, this attitude serves the enemy. So far, we have not been given any information about the detention of our friends.”

The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration South Kurdistan representative made a statement on 22 June and demanded to know what happened to the detained Autonomous Administration and PYD representatives.
