5 out of the 16 politicians detained in simultaneous raids on buildings including those of Kongreya Jinên Azad (KJA) and Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) Union of Local Administrations in the cities of Amed, Antep, Van and Ankara were transferred to the court yesterday evening. The prosecutor transferred the 5 Kurdish female politicians to court with a demand for their arrest without taking their statements. Democratic Local Administrations Union Co-chair Çimen Işık, DBP PM members Pero Dündar, Olcay Kanlıbaş and KJA member Zozan Toprak were arrested by the court they appeared at in the hours before dawn and GABB worker Seher Tümer was released.
The 4 Kurdish politicians who were arrested were sent to Diyarbakır Closed Type E Prison. Statements and processing for the other 11 detained politicians continue.
