9 soldiers’ bodies retrieved in Çukurca, many more are missing

It was announced that 5 soldiers were killed in clashes that broke out between the Turkish army and the guerillas on Hakkari-Çukurca road yesterday evening. But the local people have retrieved 9 bodies from the clash site, while many soldiers can’t be heard from.

On the fighting on both locations, the Turkish Army official website has announced 5 soldiers lost their lives and 8 were wounded, while 1 soldier was missing.
However, local sources in villages in the clash zone have reported they themselves had retrieved 9 bodies, and many soldiers were missing.
SEARCHING FOR THE MISSING SOLDIERS
Local reports say soldiers have closed off the road and they are keeping the village headman and some citizens with them, and that many citizens are searching for the missing soldiers in rural areas of Davoş village.
