Patricor Human Rights Organization announced the discovery of a new mass grave in Shengal where people killed by ISIS in 2014 were buried. According to the report, the mass grave was identified thanks to the information obtained by people. Bones were found when the grave was opened.

The report said that the bones belonged to women and children from Shengal who were killed by ISIS in 2014.

85 mass graves found

So far, 85 mass graves have been found in Shengal. Research studies started for the first time on 15 March 2019.
