The operation to liberate Manbij, which was renamed as Martyr Commander Faysal Abu Leyla after his fall during the military campaign, continues at full force in Manbij city center and its villages on its 61st day.

The neighborhood of Al-Neîmî to the east of Manbij has been cleansed of ISIS gangs Sunday morning in the wake of violent clashes it witnessed during the past two days. ISIS gangs were inflicted heavy blows during the fighting of last night as dozens of ISIS members were killed and corpses of 11 were seized by Manbij Military Council fighters, in addition to a large quantity of ammunition.

Amid ongoing violent clashes, Manbij fighters are now advancing towards the Al-Iriz neighborhood to the east of the city and north of the Cezîra road.

On the other hand, ISIS gangs have attacked the Um Edesê village on the western front of the city at around 06:00 local time this morning. Manbij Military Council fighters immediately responded to the attack which resulted in clashes that are reported to be ongoing.
