Behdinan Prisoners Representative Ayhan Said said in a statement that artist Bilind Amêdî was detained by the KDP public order forces on 1 August after composing a piece for the Behdinan prisoners. According to Said, he was first taken into custody and released on condition that he remained silent. He was arrested again because he continued to perform the song.

Bilind Nebi Amêdî is a disabled citizen who runs a shop as well as an artist and had previously participated in the campaign for the Behdinan prisoners.
