At least 8 soldiers killed in guerrilla action in Bingöl

An action by HPG guerrillas left at least 8 soldiers dead and many others injured in Yayladere district of Bingöl on July 13.

People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) reported in a written statement that guerrillas hit a disguised Turkish military unit after infiltrating into their position in Dırulla village of Bingöl's Yayladere district at 20:00 on July 13. Guerrillas also hit the 20 soldiers that gathered in the area after the action, with 2 rockets landing on the position of the Turkish unit. HPG said at least 8 soldiers were verified killed here but the number of dead and injured is actually higher. The action was dedicated to the guerrillas martyred in Erzincan.

HPG reported a clash between Turkish soldiers and a guerrilla unit that encountered in between İnega and Konut villages in Bingöl's Adaklı district on July 13. In the wake of the clash, Turkish army bombarded the area with howitzer and mortar fire till the late night hours.
