HPG Commander Dr. Bahoz Erdal gave a short interview over the phone to Al Jazeera TV Southern Kurdistan reporter Ahmet Zawiti and said the news about him were “lies of the Turkish special war media”.

Bahoz Erdal said these stories were circulated frequently, and the latest installation was also fake, as he was alive and on duty still.

Ahmet Zawiti’s piece for Al Jazeera doesn’t mention where the phone call was made from or where Bahoz Erdal is now.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Official agency of the Turkish state, AA, had announced that Dr. Bahoz Erdal was killed in Rojava last week, to which HPG had answered immediately, stressing that the story wasn’t true and Bahoz Erdal was on duty in Kurdistan.
