Attack by police forces in Amed's central Sur district continues since early this morning when Governor of Diyarbakır has declared a curfew.
While police have blocked entrance and exit to the district, electricity, water and phone lines have all been cut, just like what was done in Şırnak's Cizre district during the past one week.
Fire is being opened on neighborhoods of the district from armored police vehicles, which has left a Rojava citizen by the name of Kello Esma wounded in the arm. Esma is being treated by the locals by their own means as no access is enabled to hospital due to ongoing attacks by police forces.
As local people protest the attacks by taking to the streets despite the curfew, two neighborhoods leading to the district, Fiskaya and Ben û Sen, have also been blockaded with armored vehicles.
In the meantime, a delegation of DBP and HDP members has arrived the area and is trying to enter the district from Dağkapı Square. The delegation has called on Amed people to go to the Square to hinder a probable massacre.
A press conference to be held here soon will be attended by HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş and deputies.
Attacks by Turkish police forces left a 18-year-old civilian wounded earlier in the morning.
