Delegation from the Iraqi government visits Maxmur Camp

The delegation said they visited Maxmur to investigate the attacks against the camp and to find solutions to the problems of the camp residents.

A delegation from the Iraqi government has visited the Maxmur refugee camp where the Turkish army carried out a military operation.

The delegation consisted of officials from the Iraqi Ministry of Immigration and Refugees and Iraqi security officials.

The delegation met with the camp officials at the United Nations (UN) Office and was informed about the problems in the camp.

The delegation said that they paid this visit to investigate the attacks against the camp and to find solutions to the problems of the camp residents.

“We will strive to solve the problems, to prevent attacks and to deal with issues such as the situation of the UN and security measures. We will help to resolve issues including humanitarian aid,” the delegation said.

The delegation visited several families in the camp and listened to their problems. The members of the delegation also examined the site of the Turkish attack that took place on June 5.

The delegation revealed that they will continue their visits and try to provide the necessary assistance to the camp.
