HPG guerrilla Hîwa Sine said that the Freedom Revolution was not like any previous revolution and emphasized that the only way to freedom was to join the ranks of guerrillas.
Guerrilla Sine said: "The enemy is constantly attacking Kurdish youth. They are executing young people and encouraging drug use. So I went on a quest to respond to these attacks. Then I heard the name of an organization that stands up to, responds to and fights against all kinds of oppression in the 4 parts of Kurdistan. That's how I got to know the PKK."
Guerrilla Sine talked about the international conspiracy process against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the despair she experienced at that time. He ended his speech with these words: "When the leadership was arrested, such a thought came to our mind. That is, if the leadership was arrested, we thought the revolution was over. But over time, we realized that the revolution established by the leadership was not like any previous revolution. Social participation came from all over Kurdistan. This revolution, which the enemy is trying to eliminate, has a strong ideology. Such a strong ideology was a source of joy and hope for us. Thanks to this, our beliefs about the revolution increased and I made this revolution for myself. I saw it as a solution.”
Guerrilla Sine said: “I tried hard to join the organization, as I was looking for someone I could trust and could make me friends. I joined during the Kobanê war, but they sent us to Rojhilat. The biggest factor that made me join the party was the leadership. The philosophy presented to us by the leadership is based on equality and democracy."
