A delegation of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) is having talks in Hewlêr (Erbil) in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The delegation consists of HDK Co-Spokesperson Meral Danış Beştaş, DEM Party Central Executive Board (MYK) member Serhat Eren, DBP Diplomacy Commission Co-Spokesperson Murat Sarısaç, DEM Party MP Saliha Aydeniz, DEM Party Youth Assembly Co-Spokesperson Rezan Kağanarslan and DEM Party Erbil Representative Murat Şen.
The delegation is meeting with political parties, personalities and democratic mass organizations in Hewlêr regarding the Call for Peace and Democratic Society made by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27.
A joint delegation of HDK, DEM Party and DBP met with the Yekgirtûya Islami (Islamic Unity) Movement in Hewlêr at 10.00 am today. The meeting at the Hewlêr Office of the Yekgirtûya Islami Movement lasted one hour.
