The statement said that guerrillas conducted an action targeting a second hill where special operations gendarmerie forces (JÖH) were stationed between Davuşa and Seyidan villages on Çukurça (Çelê) – Hakkari (Colemerg) road at 17:10 on July 29.
HPG recalled that the results of the action on the first hill had been announced yesterday – in which at least 15 JÖH members were killed and 25 others were wounded, while some others fled the scene by jumping into the Zap river.
According to the statement, 6 hidden emplacements were destroyed in the action which was conducted from two sides. 21 JÖH members were killed and their arms were seized by guerrillas.
Turkish jets intensely shelled the area following the action which was dedicated to Martyr Azad Siser, Çekdar Amed and other guerrillas who fell martyr.
HPG said two guerrillas fell putting up a brave fight during the action, adding that their ID details will be announced once clarified.
