HPG/YJA Star guerrillas conducted actions against Turkish military targets in Hakkari, Mardin, Siirt and Amed, as a result of which 7 soldiers were killed and 3 armored vehicles were damaged.

HPG Press Office released a statement about the ongoing actions by guerrillas in Northern Kurdistan.

HAKKARİ

Accordingly, guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers in a military convoy heading from Çukurca (Çelê) to Hakkari (Colemêrg) at 17:00 on July 20. Two soldiers were killed and one other was wounded in the guerrilla action. Three armored vehicles were also hit with rockets and damaged but the losses inflicted on these couldn't be verified.

The action was dedicated to the guerrillas martyred in Hakkari (Colomerg) recently.

HPG said Turkish military activity has remarkably increased in the Bilican outpost in Çukurca during the recent days. The soldiers forming emplacements here were also hit by guerrillas but the exact number of losses couldn't be clarified.

Troops at Bilican outpost have bombarded the Dola Kınyanış area and Martyr Colomerg hill from 06:10 to 07:50 this morning.

HPG stated that Turkish army started an operation in Şapatan hamlet in Hakkari's Şemzinan district on July 21. In the afternoon, guerrillas hit the soldiers preparing to move from Şapatan to Nehri hamlet, but the number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified.

Guerrillas also hit the soldiers retreating towards Sênela region after infiltrating into their area at 19:45 in the evening, which left 3 soldiers dead and 1 other wounded. While Turkish forces set fire to every area they passed by during their activities, the operation was retreated at 20:00 in the evening.

At 08:00 on July 22, guerrillas opened warning fire on Qadana and Katuna village guards transporting supplies to the Hill Çeta outpost.

MARDİN

Ay 09:00 on July 21, guerrillas hit a Turkish military unit near the Sarê village located between Mardin's Midyat district and Şırnak's Hezex district. While the loss inflicted here couldn't be clarified, dead and wounded soldiers were retrieved from the area with Sikorsky helicopters after the action.

SİİRT

At 17:45 on July 21, guerrillas carried out an action targeting the Serxetê outpost in Siirt's Eruh district but the death toll inflicted here couldn't be verified either. Turkish forces bombed the scene and surroundings with howitzer and mortar fire after the action.

The soldiers deployed on Hill Şuxa in Siirt's Garısa area were targeted in assassination actions by guerrillas, as a result of which 2 soldiers were killed.

AMED

Guerrillas hit and destroyed a base station in a sabotage action in Kiyê village of Amed's Kulp district at 07:00 on July 22.
