The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement on the incidents in the village of Bêbadê in the Chemankê in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) on November 4, 2020.
HPG-BIM refuted the media reports that guerrillas carried out an attack in the mentioned area, saying that the reports in question do not reflect the truth.
“Our forces did not engage in an attack. The camp where our guerrillas were stationed was infiltrated from two sides. The incident took place on this basis. We regret that such an incident has even taken place, since we had issued a call to avoid such incidents in our previous statements and warnings. We reiterate our call for the suspension of operations on our camps and solution of all our problems through dialogue."
