Rodî Baz

Rodî Baz was born in Amed and was active in the Kurdish youth movement before joining the guerrillas in the mountains of his home region in 2014. There he received ideological and military training. The only educational system he knew was the Turkish one. In the mountains, he had the opportunity for the first time to learn in a free environment and to deal with his own reality.

After his basic education, he took part in practical work. When the Turkish state ended talks with Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK movement on a solution to the Kurdistan question and a democratization of Turkey in 2015 and attacked the guerrillas, he took part in actions against the Turkish army and stood out for his practical intelligence.

He fought in various areas in Amed and was most recently in the Şehîd Brûsk area. "Hevalê Rodî gave his comrades strength and morale through his militant attitude in life and his courage in battle, and represented the apoist philosophy with his personality."

Çiyager Batman

Çiyager Batman was born in Batman (Êlih) in the Garzan region and sympathized with the guerrillas from an early age. He went to school for a while and resisted systematic assimilation by the Turkish state.

The oppression of the Kurdish people made him angry, and he did not want to accept it in silence. In order to understand Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy, he read texts and studied the goals of the PKK movement. The brutal suppression of the resistance for self-government in North Kurdistan in 2015/2016 strengthened his determination to get involved in the Kurdish freedom struggle. In 2018, he went to the mountains in Amed and took the battle name of the commander Çiyager Hêvî (Cihat Türkan), who had fallen a martyr in the Sûr resistance. He developed rapidly during his training as a guerrilla. Although he was still new to the guerrillas, he immediately wanted to take on difficult tasks and fight on the front lines. He showed great commitment and stood up for his ideals until the end.

Çiyager Pasûr Amed

Çiyager Pasûr Amed was born in the Pasûr (Kulp) district of Amed and grew up in an environment close to the Kurdish liberation movement. In his youth, he realized that as a Kurd he could not live in an occupied country without conflict. A life in the capitalist system, which blinded people with material offerings and alienated them from themselves and nature, also seemed pointless to him. While looking for alternatives, he came into contact with Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy of freedom and decided to fight for a free, equal and meaningful life. The massacres committed by the Turkish state in Kurdish cities during the resistance for self-government strengthened his decision. In 2018, he joined the guerrillas in Amed and learned life and fight in the mountains in practice. He quickly took on practical tasks in various areas and effectively contributed to their success because he knew the area. At the same time, he continued to educate himself ideologically at every opportunity and, with his mature and understanding personality, was able to support fellow fighters and contribute to their development.
