HPG Media Center issued a written statement on recent actions conducted by guerrillas in North Kurdistan territory.

AMED

HPG stated that guerrillas carried out an action against soldiers and the tank battalion protecting the dam near Tim hill in Amed’s Dicle district at 19:30 on July 4. Three soldiers were killed in the action after which the Turkish army evacuated the bodies of dead and injured soldiers with Sikorsky-type helicopters. The army launched an operation in Dicle and the Xaçek region on July 5.

Guerrillas carried out another action against the soldiers at the Hegasor outpost in Amed’s Hani district at 09:00 on July 5, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers couldn't be clarified.

DERSİM

HPG guerrillas carried out an assassination action against the soldiers at the Turnova outpost in Dersim’s Ovacık district at 12:00 on July 5, as a result of which 1 soldier was killed. Soldiers blocked the nearby road with two armored vehicles and randomly detained civilians after the action.

ŞIRNAK

Guerrillas carried out one other assassination action against the soldiers at Çeman hill in Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap district on July 2. Two soldiers were killed here.

MARDİN

HPG announced that the Turkish army launched an operation near the villages of Gundık, Mermarê, Bêrtê, Kudê, Dêri, Fafê, Xırbê Mamudê, Kewarêxê, and Yestê in Mardin’s Ömerli district on July 1, and ended its operation without obtaining any results on July 5.
