HPG reports ongoing attacks by Turkish military

Turkish military continues its attacks in Kurdistan territory.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office said in a written statement that Turkish troops in Grana outpost in Hakkari's Şemdinli district shelled Hill Xwedê with howitzer and mortar fire. The aggression lasted from 02:30 to 05:30 this morning.

On the other hand, Turkish troops in Oremar outpost bombarded the Martyr Rahime area in Hakkari's Yüksekova district as of 05:00 Tuesday morning. Turkish reconnaissance activity over the area continues.

HPG continued, reporting ongoing Turkish reconnaissance activities over Qandil, Zap and Haftanin areas of Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory since July 3.

According to the HPG statement, Turkish forces in Kanimasê sub-district in Duhok-Amediye hit Hill Ortê with howitzer and mortar fire at between 08.00 and 09.00 on July 4. The bombardment started a fire which still continues.

HPG added that Turkish military started an operation in Çemçê rural area in Kağızman district of KArs on June 23.
