OPERATION IN KATO

People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Media Center announced that the Turkish army launched an operation in the Kato area of Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap district at 19:30 on July 1, and the guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers in the area. The numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified, and state forces have extended their operation to the villages of Laleş, Mêrga Sotê, Kejan, Gırê Kerko and Govik.

OPERATION AND CLASHES IN LİCE: MANY SOLDIERS KILLED

HPG Media Center stated that the Turkish army’s operation in Amed’s Lice, Hani, Kocaköy, Hazro and Kulp districts have expanded and Turkish warplanes have been bombarding the region. Clashes took place between the soldiers and the guerillas in the areas of Martyr Kendal, Pêşi Kevir and Sisê, and communications with a group of guerillas have been lost.

CLASHES IN HAKKARİ

In its statement, HPG Media Center said that guerillas carried out an action against soldiers at a road checkpoint near the area of Dola Bermêşa between Hakkari’s Yüksekova and Şemzinan districts at 14:30 on July 2. 1 soldier got killed during the guerilla action.

The Media Center stated that clashes broke out when a group of guerillas ran into Turkish soldiers at 05:00 on July 2, and the guerillas reached their base safely.

ATTACK ON MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES

HPG Media Center informed the public about attacks on Medya Defense Zones, and said that Turkish warplanes bombarded the villages of Xeletê, Bê Xerê, Meyrokê and Ergenê in the Garê region of Medya Defense Zones between 22:00 and 00:00 on July 1. A fire broke out in the area and civilians’ gardens were destroyed during the bombardment.
