Iraqi army wounds journalist at march in Shengal

The Iraqi army attacked the people who protested the detention of a Yazidi youth in the town of Xanesor in Shengal. Journalist Salih Berces, who was following the events, was wounded when the Iraqi army opened fire.

A march in support of the guerrilla resistance was held in the town of Xanesor in Shengal. Iraqi army forces came to the region because of the march and wanted to prevent the people from demonstrating. The Iraqi army wanted to take a teenager into custody. Reacting to the detention, the people gathered once again. And at that point the Iraqi army opened fire on the people.

Journalist Salih Berces, who was following the events, was wounded in the arm as the result of the shooting. It was learned that Berces, who was taken to Xanesor Hospital, is in good condition.
