KJA and DBP members detained in Amed

Several members of KJA and DBP were detained during the political genocide operations in Amed.

Police officers raided the offices of Free Women’s Congress (Kongreya Jinen Azad - KJA) and Democratic Regions Party (Demokratik Bölgeler Partisi - DBP) as well as other addresses in Amed last night. The officers confiscated the cameras in these offices and detained several members of KJA and DBP. Below are some of the people detained during the police raids last night:

2 - Turan Genç: DBP Party Assembly Member (Local Governments)

3 - Pero Dündar: DBP Party Assembly Member
4 - Olcay Kanlıbaş: DBP Party Assembly Member
5 - Seher Tümer: Southeastern Region Municipalities Union Employee

6 - Yusuf Koyuncu: DBP Party Assembly Member
7 - Orhan Karaca 
8 - Serdar Tosun: DBP Yenişehir District Administrator
9 - Ercan Burakmak
10 - Fırat Alökmen: DBP Party Assembly Member
11 - Zozan Toprak: KJA Member
12 - Fevzi Akdemir: DBP Employee

13 - Mehmet Çınar
14 - Abdullah Cin: DBP Party Assembly Member (detained in Antep)

Many of the detained people were arrested during the ‘KCK’ political genocide operations in 2009.
