Komalên Ciwan Coordination declared that the 5th congress of Komalên Ciwan was held successfully with over a hundred delegates from 4 parts of Kurdistan and Europe on July 3-8.

The statement reads: “The character of the current political process and the responsibilities brought by it, especially for the youth, was widely discussed. The new duties of the youth were determined and a strong planning and decision making process was put into practice regarding all our working areas. Our congress was assembled under the spiritual command of our self government martyrs, and the mark of our martyrs who fought heroically and made a great sacrifice was on every discussion and decision. All self government resistance martyrs were considered natural and true delegates of our congress. Our congress has made the promise and decision to uphold their memory, and realize their longing for a Free Kurdistan with Free Leadership

The following decisions were taken to:

- Base all efforts on the physical freedom of the Leadership, building Democratic Autonomy in Kurdistan and avenging the martyrs, and continue activity in all parts of Kurdistan until the freedom of the Leadership is secured.

- Void state attacks with SERHILDAN in Kurdistan and social resistance, remove the obstacles in building the Democratic Autonomous Kurdistan with social revolution.

- Develop an effective line of action in Turkey’s big cities and a widespread base of demonstrations.

- Develop the united revolutionary units of youth against fascism in Turkey, and to this end further the relationships and alliances with the leftist-revolutionary, oppositional, democratic youth organisations in Turkey and build a joint line of action.

- Implement an effective fight and a line of action against drug and addictive substance use, prostitution, theft and agencification developed by special war centers and targeting the youth and especially young women in 4 parts of Kurdistan.

- Fight sexism, an ideological and political product of the patriarchal mindset, in all areas based on the ideology of women’s emancipation and led by young women, take action against women’s murders and male terror in line with self defense.

- Lead the national efforts together with Kurdish youth organisations to ensure national unity with a perspective of Democratic Nation, and organising the 4th Kurdish Youth Conference on this foundation.

- Take an organised struggle against the cultural, military, political and economic genocide as a base under the leadership of the youth movement against colonialist, occupying, fascist and assimilative forces

- Launch a large action initiative with the specificity of every area with the motto “Abolish Colonialism with Revolutionary Revenge” and lead the new revolutionary maneuver process.
