Two months have already passed in the Manbij liberation operation, and Manbij residents escaping ISIS gangs continue to rush to the areas liberated by Manbij Military Council.
As the Manbij Liberation Operation launched on June 1 leaves 2 months behind, dozens of villages and hamlets have already been liberated from ISIS gangs.
Civilians in the city continue to leave the city in groups. They are escaping ISIS to come to the safe zones and Manbij Military Council fighters transport them to safe areas.
ISIS GANGS USE CIVILIANS AS SHIELDS
Manbij residents say ISIS gangs use civilians as human shields because they know the Manbij Military Council fighters are careful with the civilian population.
Manbij residents also state that people living in the region invaded by ISIS in 2014 have faced intensifying pressure, cruelty, looting, torture and massacres, and that the gangs have forced their own so-called religious laws on the people with coercion and torture since the invasion.
“OUR CITY MUST BE LIBERATED AT ONCE”
Manbij Military Council fighters continue their advance in the Martyr Commander Faysal Ebû Leyla operation and have reached the point where they can end ISIS presence in Manbij.
Local people continue their wait, longing for their city and their relatives to be freed from ISIS, in Manbij where the dark clouds are destroyed one by one and hopes for freedom, justice and equality are blooming.
Manbij women say every day they live under ISIS occupation was hell for them, and that they lived in constant fear of death, torture and rape.
