Maxmur Camp people marched to the UN office
Residents of the Maxmur refugee camp held a protest and marched to the UN building following the bombing carried out by the occupying Turkish state.
The Turkish state bombed the Martyr Rüstem Cudi (Mexmur) Refugee Camp on the night between Thursday and Friday, injuring two people.
Camp residents marched to the UN building to protest the attacks.
When the march reached the UN building, a minute silence was held in memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan.
Then a press release was read. Hesen Demir said in a statement that the attack on the camp right on the 7th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution was not a coincidence.
Demir added: "The invading Turkish state wants to destroy any place where there is a Kurd. Maxmur Camp is subjected to various attacks every day. Moreover, the silence of the UN and Iraqi government is the basis for these attacks."
Demir ended the statement by saying: "Let the colonial Turkish state and its collaborator, the KDP, know that the people of the camp will never give in to the attacks and will not step back from the line of struggle and resistance. We are protesting the attack once again."
