As the curfew in Silopi district of Şırnak remains in place since April 4, the neighborhoods of Barbaros and Başak are being hit by uninterrupted tank fire.

While the last one week has witnessed no fighting at all, the bombardment on neighborhoods indicates an acceleration of the “urgent expropriation” order issued by the Turkish cabinet recently.

During the 37 days of genocidal attacks by state forces starting from December 14, a total of 462 houses were rendered unusable and more than 3 thousand houses were damaged by the attacks.
