Number of those detained in Mardin rises to 29

The Turkish regime’s political genocide operations against the Kurdish people and their elected representatives continue unabated.

Turkish forces stormed dozens of houses in Mardin province and its districts early Tuesday morning.

As many as 29 people have been taken into custody, including Peace Mothers.

While 2 of those detained have been released from custody after giving their statements, procedures continue for the other 27 people.

According to reports, the operation has been carried out in the scope of an investigation into the 2015-2016 period when state forces terrorized the region under months-long curfews and military operations in the settlement areas.
