Occupying Turkish Army hit in Hakkari, Şirnak and Mardin

HPG guerrillas continued operations against Turkish army

Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign the HPG guerrillas have hit the occupying Turkish army in Hakkari, Şirnak and Mardin. 

Here is the full text of the HPG press release: 

"Our guerrilla forces carried out actions targeting the invading Turkish army. 

On July 12, at 07.30, our YJA Star forces carried out a series of assassination actions targeting enemy soldiers positioned on the Elîşer hill. In the action, two enemy soldiers were killed.

On the same day, at 19.00, our forces carried out an action targeting enemy soldiers positioned on the Martyr Gafur hill in Gever (Yüksekova) district. As a result of the effective strikes one enemy soldier was killed while another one was wounded.

On July 7, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in Oremar area of Gever (Yüksekova) district. Around 22.30, our forces carried out a series of sabotage actions targeting enemy soldiers in the area.

On July 8 and on July 9, our forces carried out sabotage actions targeting enemy soldiers on Qela Perîxanê and Martyr Qendil area in Zerê valley.

In these actions, the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified. The operation was withdrawn without any results on July 11 at 04.00 hours.

Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, on June 12, at 18.30, our forces carried out an action against a checkpoint of the invading Turkish army providing the security of the road between Şırnak and Cizre.

Two enemy soldiers were killed in this action where the checkpoint and a vehicle belonging to invaders were effectively struck.

Within the scope of the campaign, on July 11, at 19.00, our forces carried out an assassination action against the soldiers in the Kertminê outpost in Mardin’s Midyat district, and one enemy soldier was killed in this action."
